Kitchen & Bath Remodeling

Kitchens and baths,
planned with care.

Kitchen and bathroom remodels, from refined updates to full reconfigurations, matched with a vetted contractor, with Hawthorne Mason keeping you informed from planning through completion.

Overview

Kitchens and bathrooms are the rooms most often remodeled and the ones where planning matters most. Layout, plumbing, ventilation, cabinetry, and stone all have to come together in a small space, usually while the household keeps running.

We help you define the scope and budget, introduce a vetted contractor from our network, and keep communication clear so decisions about layout, selections, and schedule are made on time. The contractor performs the work and contracts with you directly.

Scope

What this work can include.

Kitchen remodels
Cabinetry, counters, appliances, lighting, and layout changes, from a refresh to a full reconfiguration.
Primary and guest baths
Showers, tubs, tile, vanities, and fixtures, including converting a tub to a walk-in shower.
Layout changes
Moving walls, plumbing, or appliances to make the room work better for how you use it.
Selections and ordering
Help making cabinetry, stone, tile, and fixture decisions in time for your contractor to order them.

Before You Start

What to plan for.

Decide on the layout first
Keeping sinks, toilets, and appliances where they are usually costs less than moving them, because relocating plumbing, gas, or venting adds work and often permits.
Expect a permit for plumbing, electrical, or structural work
Work involving plumbing, electrical, or structural changes generally needs a permit; requirements vary by jurisdiction.
Order long-lead items early
Cabinetry, stone, custom glass, and some appliances can take weeks to arrive, so selecting them before demolition helps keep the schedule.
